To solve the high-volume tableware cleaning pressure and strict hygiene requirements of large overseas school canteens, we recently completed the full installation and upgrade of a commercial dishwasher for a local educational institution. The system now runs steadily all day, handling complete washing, sanitizing and drying for 2,000 teachers and students during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The project is delivered by MAYERS, a manufacturer specializing in commercial dishwashing systems and institutional kitchen automation solutions.
The school operates a centralized kitchen responsible for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Each day generates a large volume of mixed tableware, including plates, deep bowls, trays, and various irregular kitchen utensils.
Before the upgrade, the kitchen relied heavily on manual dishwashing, which created operational bottlenecks during peak meal periods.
High labor dependency for continuous dishwashing operations
Rising staffing costs due to manual cleaning workload
Inconsistent cleaning quality with residual grease and food particles
Lack of high-temperature sanitization and proper drying process
Potential hygiene risks caused by moisture and bacterial growth
Tableware backlog during peak serving hours
To improve operational efficiency, an all-in-one automatic dishwasher system was installed, integrating washing, high-temperature sanitization, and hot air drying into a continuous automated workflow.
The system eliminates the need for manual pre-sorting, allowing mixed types of tableware to be processed directly in a single operation.
Built with food-grade stainless steel, the dishwasher conveyor system is designed for durability and long-term stable operation in high-demand institutional kitchen environments.
Integrated washing, sanitizing, and drying in one continuous process
Compatible with mixed tableware without manual sorting
High-temperature cleaning cycle for hygiene compliance
Food-grade stainless steel construction for durability
Simple operation suitable for regular kitchen staff
Designed for continuous operation during peak meal periods
After installation, the system significantly improved dishwashing efficiency and operational stability in the school canteen.
Compared with manual washing methods, cleaning efficiency increased by more than 95%, while labor requirements were reduced to only 1–2 operators responsible for loading and unloading.
The integrated drying system effectively eliminated moisture-related hygiene risks, improving overall tableware cleanliness and storage safety.
Reduced dependency on manual labor
Improved cleaning consistency and hygiene stability
Faster turnaround during peak meal service periods
Reduced risk of bacterial growth and hygiene issues
Lower long-term operational costs
This automatic dishwasher system is suitable for large-scale institutional kitchens, including boarding schools, universities, hospitals, and centralized catering facilities.
In this project, the system supports continuous daily dishwashing operations for approximately 2000 users, ensuring stable performance across all meal periods.
This installation demonstrates a real-world application of automated dishwashing technology in a high-demand institutional environment. The system is engineered for continuous operation, stable performance, and long-term durability.
MAYERS provides system customization, technical support, and operational training to ensure reliable performance in overseas school kitchen projects.
The upgraded automatic dishwasher system provides a scalable solution for overseas school canteens. By integrating washing, sanitization, and drying into a continuous process, it significantly improves operational efficiency while reducing labor costs and hygiene risks.
